EMERGENCY PLANNING FOR YOUR PET

No matter where you live, the unexpected can occur.  You can reduce your pet's chances of being at risk during a disaster by doing the following now:  1)  Put a collar with visible identification on your pet even if an indoor pet.  2) Take pictures of you with your pets for identification purposes.  3) Create a pet emergency kit and refresh it every few months.  (Include: three days of food and water, photos, bowls, meds, small garbage bags, toys, blanket, leash, litter and box for cats, and carrier if small animal) 4) Make plans with your neighbors for your pets in case you are not home at the time.  5) Check back to this web site for "Pet Friendly" hotels and motels to evacuate to, as least 100 miles inland if hurricane.

Parks and Dogs - The following parks all allow dogs to be taken off-leash while in the dog park area. Many dog parks require that dogs are current on vaccinations. Owners must also clean up after pets and keep a watchful eye on them as they play. Canine Corner of Cleveland Park - Greenville and Six Wags of Greer - Greer.
